July 13th - California Sunset Painting with Philip Vasquez. There are no rules on how to paint your own masterpiece, let your creativity run wild to bring out your style. We will work with acrylic paints and canvas to create an abstracted landscape painting inspired by the beautiful sunsets of the Golden State.

August 10th - Needle Felted Narwhal with Nicole Reece. Why is needle felting all the rage? Because it’s so much fun and super easy to learn! You’ll learn the basics of needle felting a 3D form to create a simple but adorable little ocean friend. You’ll be provided with all the materials needed to make this little critter plus a needle felting mini kit (needle and small pad) to take home so you can make more!

Philip Vasquez

Mr. Philip grew up right here in Sacramento! He fell in love with art when his father introduced him to painting at five, and to the joy of plein air painting at seven years old. He went on to study at the California College of the Arts. After being all over the world, Mr. Philip recently landed back in Sacramento where he continues following his heart - art.

We are now offering private art events after our regular, open studio hours at Art Beast. These events will feature an art project lead by an experienced and patient artist or crafter and will adhere to our philosophy of promoting creativity, personal expression and open ended art making where there is no “right” or uniform way to create art. We will guide you through the art making process so that everyone in your party will have something to take home! For absolute beginners and those who have art making experience. You can work with our staff and experienced artists to choose a project that appeals to you.

What’s included with an after hours Art Beast Art Party?
