Beastie Song Circle with Ryan

Come raise your voice and wiggle at our Beastie Song Circle. Ryan will play piano and guitar, playing a variety of sing-a-long classics and original tunes as children and their grown ups join in to create a magical morning of song. Ryan Suleiman has been studying piano since 2000, began composing in 2004, and has since gained experience on other instruments such as guitar, flute, and conducting. He has also worked with traditional notation and digital recording and editing as tools for both performing and composing music. On piano and guitar Ryan has performed in recitals, receptions, and other public settings. With piano as his primary performance instrument, he is currently enrolled as an undergraduate at Sacramento State University majoring in music theory/composition, though he has studied privately with Dr Stephen Blumberg through CSUS since 2006. Ryan believes that enthusiasm and interest are very helpful to anyone wanting to learn music at any level, beginning or advanced. Music is a form of expression that, while requiring hard work and discipline (as with anything), should be both a fun and rewarding experience its participants. If the student is inspired or motivated to practice rather than forced, she/he will become far more mature as musician. So, the aim of the teacher should be to give students the knowledge necessary for understanding music as well as getting them excited about it.
