The Festival of Little Houses: 35 Things to Do Sept 23-25

Art Beast Presents: The Festival of Little Houses
A weekend of whimsy and wonder as families create, explore, and play in nature

Join us as we gather next to the American River to claim the joy of being together in a shady green place where the river comes close. Come for the day or camp for the weekend.  We will offer ample opportunity to dance, sing, wander, discover, nourish, and create.   We also offer space to pitch a tent, artists to inspire, supplies for creating, opportunities to gather, and a river running right by.

Each family is invited to create their own little house using the offerings of nature.  Sticks, grasses, mud, bamboo, leaves, stones and mosses will be on hand, inviting children and adults to join in building fairy houses, altars, or land art to remind ourselves that all of us need to make art.

The little houses also remind us of the blessings of a home and family. All the proceeds of this event are dedicated to Tubman House, a home and community for young, homeless parents and their children.
